Across New York, immigrant bakeries add Mexican pan dulce, Vietnamese banh mi bread, Chinese buns, Middle Eastern sweets and European rye to the mix, and many gluten-free and vegan bakeries have opened in larger cities. Check the listing for hours, whether the shop accepts custom cake orders and its Google rating before you go, and call about allergens, since small kitchens often share equipment. Day-old bread and end-of-day discounts are common if you ask.

New York is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. US addresses list the street number and name, then the city, state abbreviation and ZIP code, and New York follows the same pattern; a suite or apartment number such as Ste 200 refers to a unit inside the building. The map link on this page shows the exact spot.

One of the best bakeries in the city. I’m so glad I don’t live closer, I’d be there every day which would be bad for my health. The pistachio rose croissant is perfection. It gets a lot of attention, and rightly so, but don’t let it distract you from the rest of their offerings. Everything they bake is incredible, we also love the halva chocolate croissant and chocolate chip cookie are standouts. And they make a good cup of coffee to boot!

Whenever I’m in New York I always come here, at least once. Everything hits and the coffee and matcha also good. I recommend the Loomi babka with the lemon filling and the feta dill scone is actually delish. Scones are usually a miss but they know how to do a scone, flaky layers with flavor and they’re not dry in the slightest. Can’t really go wrong with anything there, the chocolate chip cookie and pistachio croissant are also really good. There’s not much seating, you’re better off getting takeout and eating in a park or benches around. It gets busy by around 10 but earlier 8-9 you could definitely snag a seat. I tell all of my friends to go here, one of my favorite bakeries in nyc.

Been here several times now for a variety of baked goods and they all have been of great quality! I also appreciate their flavor palette for being unique and distinct. You won't find a viral trend here. I love their malted hot chocolate and the hanging disco croissant! Seating is limited and generally full on weekends. You can go sit across the street though at Cooper Square.

I was excited to try Librae and particularly the pistachio croissant because I genuinely love all things pistachio. The croissant was not my favorite. The filling is too sweet to my taste and the rose flavor was non-existent, but the strangest part was the pastry...there was a flavor there that was very savory, but in a not great way. The babka and tahini chocolate chip cookie were okay. The texture on the cookie was just ok. Staff was nice, the interior was lovely and there was only a short wait. Just not my taste on the pastries.

After hearing and seeing the hype about this place. We came here on a Thursday morning. Place was not that packed and I thought there would be more choices in terms of pastries but it’s limited. We had cappuccino, pistachio rose croissant, carrot scone and a sun-dried tomato and artichoke pastry. The croissant I had was hard but the pistachio taste was good. Carrot scone was not that sweet( that’s a good thing) but a bit hard as well. The sun-dried tomato and artichoke pastry was flaky and good. Seating is limited and no restroom at all. This is a one time thing for me and I do not see what the hype is about.
